Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Similar technology, such as your browser's local storage, works in the same way, and this policy covers both. It applies to www.gofood.uk, app.gofood.uk and the ordering websites Gofood runs for restaurants.

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the websites to work, so they do not need your consent:

• Login cookies: keep you signed in to the dashboard securely.
• Basket storage: remembers what is in your basket on a restaurant's ordering website, on your device only.
• Order source: remembers for the current visit which link brought you to a restaurant's website (for example its Facebook page), so the restaurant can see which links bring orders. It is cleared when you close the tab and is not used to follow you to other websites.
• Payment security: Stripe sets cookies during card payment to prevent fraud.
• Maps: Google Maps may set cookies when a map or address search is shown.

Analytics and advertising

Gofood does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add any, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, logging in, the basket and payments may not work.
